Happy New Year + Apology Patch


Happy new year!  We made it!

First of all, let me apologize for the messy state of the latest updates launch.  Deadlines be damned I will no longer be sharing builds that are not thoroughly play tested.  That being said I think all of the major game breaking bugs have been addressed.  And thank you for your patience and all the timely reports.  I value that a lot.

There is new patch available, and to make my apology sincere it comes with new content as well.  Previous areas that I cut for time have now been reintroduced into the game. 

PLEASE make sure you are playing the latest version (Ver. 1.662!) to avoid any game breaking bugs! 

Patch Notes:

  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to not fade in when starting a new game at chapter 5.
  • Fixed an issue where Crow corpses could block progression .
  • Fixed a bug where Crow double battles would cause the game to freeze if only one Crow was killed.
  • Fixed an issue where some skills mistakenly gave Red stamina while not costing turns.
  • Removed Bloodlust notification text.
  • Fixed an issue where the Crow Capture event was mistakenly removed from the game.
  • Removed a left over NPC from testing which was mistakenly left in the game.
  • Added SFX to broken glass tiles.
  • Buffed the benefits of taking baths.
  • Added the Outhouse location to the Farm map.
  • Added several new maps to the Sewers area.
  • Added a debug spot to easily challenge Quiberon.

Starting off with the most GLAMOROUS of cut content.  The outhouse was once blocked off but now you can enter. I'm not going to lie to you, this map is pretty much completely useless.  It only exists to have some "fun" references for me, which is why it wasn't a priority to include in the latest build.  But why not include some fun stuff now?

A murky brown toilet that appears to be clogged?  Where have I seen that before?  

I wonder if you're going to be asked if you'd like to jump into the hole?

A brand new artwork is also included during the events where Red prays for the victims of the Crows and Werewolf. This scene however will NOT trigger if you've already interacted with the bodies and carry over your save data.  Apologies for that!  But it is what it is.  You're not really missing anything regardless.  This is just a little bonus.

The most important of the changes however is the Sewers location. I fixed the water to be properly green as was intended.  And I've also put in a lot more maps, making it much closer to the intended final version of being a little maze crawling with crows that you can avoid.

There's twists and turns, dead ends, wrong paths.  It's a place you might even get lost in.

I think in total it ended up becoming seven individual maps so.  Have fun with that?  Is that fun?  I hope it's fun lol. Torches currently do NOT light up the areas but that feature will be included in future builds.

Now this last thing is a bit of a cheat, but since I don't have time to recode the entire fishing event I added in a debug spot.  If for whatever reason you are having a hard time accessing the Quiberon boss fight, I've added this tile here.  Simply stand on the red flower, face the water, and hit the interact button.  That will trigger the scene (if a bit janky) and allow you to access the boss fight if you can't figure out how to do it properly or the minigame itself is causing you problems.  For now it's a quick and dirty solution.  Red also has her victory dialogue included this time rather than the fight just, ending and nothing happening.  So there's a bit more to look forward to at least.
