Changelog - February 14th Update


Happy Valentine's day!  My gift to you is a date with Project Red.  This post is just going to be a simple changelog listing all the additions and changes that have been made to the game.  For a more in depth look where I'll break things down with imagery and commentary please wait for a second post that I'll be making tomorrow.

Changelog

  • Removed the ability to skip to Chapter 5 when starting a new game as this would lead to issues with the changes made to skills
  • Replaced the pond at the Witch’s camp with a Mana Spring
  • Added Warm Worms as items the player can pick up in the world
  • Made various adjustments to SFW mode including alternate versions of most tarot cards and re-edited lewd quests
  • Replaced the skill tree systems with the Divine Scale
  • Added a new event teaching the player how to access the skill tree
  • Completely remapped the Mirror of Recollection
  • Added clearly marked doors to the Mirror of Recollection
  • Added a new event notifying the player when Doors within the Mirror of Recollection have been unlocked
  • Moved Relic items to their own room
  • Replaced the Goddess Statue with a unique statue of Eros in the Hall of Exchange
  • Added a new event when the player prays to the Eros statue for the first time
  • Added the ability to toggle between NSFW and SFW modes at the Eros statue (Note this feature is experimental and may cause unexpected issues.  Please be sure you have saved recently before messing with this.)
  • Fixed an issue where Wyrens were constantly in their walking animation.
  • The Carpenter now gives clearer instructions to the player as to where to find the logs and tools and can give these again should the player speak with him again
  • Red now steps away from the Carpenter before talking under her breath about her upcoming death
  • Added a working talk option for the Blacksmith
  • All shops have been adjusted (Inventory and prices)
  • Fixed an issue where various campers names failed to display properly
  • Fixed an issue where the Alchemist’s shop became unusable until completing the Medicine quest
  • The Fisherman now allows the player to toggle between Button Mash or QTE style mini game controls
  • Adjusted the Fishing event to have a more streamlined activation
  • Adjusted the Fishing even to have various difficulties depending on the fish being caught
  • Added a variety of unique fish to various spots in the world
  • Logs can now be picked up even if the player has not started the quest related to them
  • Repositioned some logs to be more obvious upon entering a zone
  • Fixed an issue where several boxes in the drunkards house were mistakenly invisible
  • Added new Rocky Slime trios to the enemy roster
  • Evolved Slimes can now be found in the Abandoned Mine
  • Added a new item, Mana Crystals
  • Mana Crystals can be mined from certain walls in the Abandoned Mines
  • Added new Evolved Slime duos to the enemy roster
  • Added a fishing nodes to various bodies of water
  • Defeating the Slime King grants access to a special Battle Trial within the Mirror of Recollection
  • Added a new sprite of Red stuck in the wall during the Drunkard event
  • Updated a variety of enemy placements
  • Added Tenty as an enemy the player can encounter while exploring
  • Added new Crow variants, Crow Priest and Crow Mage to the game
  • Added new combinations of Crow duos
  • Adjusted the amount of blood lust gained from killing crows
  • Added a new item, Cleansing Water that can be used to decrease blood lust
  • Adjusted the Werewolf encounter scene to have more sound effects
  • Added extensive voice acting for Hati and Red in a variety of scenes
  • Adjusted the Crow loss event to have three different versions
  • Fixed an issue where the game would become soft locked after losing in battle with the Crow’s a second time
  • Added two new maps containing a brand new relic item
  • Added the Sailorsuit costume
  • Removed enemies from a few maps near Broomhill Village
  • Added a variety of interactions to the river containing Quiberon
  • Added enemies to the Farm/Field maps
  • Added the Undead Hound x4 enemy as a regular encounter from the farm onwards
  • Added fully playable Scarecrow in combat
  • Added new item, Chalk to the game
  • Adjusted various random loot tables to include new items
  • Added additional character moments to the Farmhouse
  • Added the Overalls costume
  • Added dirt mounds to the Farm map after completing a certain event
  • Added various new corpse sprites to Broomhill Village
  • Adjusted the victim sprites to be different from one another
  • Added a temporary Innkeeper sprite to Broomhill Inn
  • Added new events to the Inn
  • Adjusted most skills
  • Adjusted most armors
  • Adjusted all statuses
  • Adjusted enemy stats
  • Added a new Eros event to the camp sign
  • Reworked all Eros events to make affinity more impactful
  • Reworked the Drunkard Loss event to fix an issue with Red’s bust breaking
  • Fixed an issue where Tarot Cards displayed in Broomhill Village were displayed in the wrong order
  • Added the ability to save the game after reaching a new chapter
  • Added the Chapter 6 title card
  • Added a game help/FAQ to the game files
  • Fixed an issue where there was no battle background displayed for the fight against the Crows within in the Vacant House
  • Fixed an issue where the corpses in the Vacant House mistakenly had walk cycles
  • Made various adjustments and fixes to the Sewing item event
  • Corrected the various Crow Reversal of Fate events
  • Updated Quest balloons to be more accurate

Hi there! Loving the update so far! Quick problem I noticed: in the skill tree menu, moving up and down between skills goes frame-by-frame, whereas moving left to right needs individual button presses. Is there any way to make the up/down movement like the left/right? It can be difficult to navigate as things are right now.

Thanks for this!  Playtesting was weirdly inconclusive if it was a general issue or a specific computer issue.  Now I can safely say it wasn't just because of the broken keyboard lol.  I'll look into this asap.
